Wisdom Preserves!- Part 2
Dear Reader,
Welcome to the concluding part of this edition. I believe you now understand the worth of wisdom and how you get it. Therefore, this week, we shall dive deeper into Wisdom Preserves!
Wisdom is crucial in every area of life, but let us consider two major areas:
- Exercise Wisdom in your Words: Speaking the right word at the right time is wisdom. Your words can either build you or tear you down. As a woman and mother, the words that proceed out of our mouth should be likened to the way the porter handles the clay. Be selective, careful and deliberate in your choice of words. The Word says: Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man (Colossians 4:6, see also1 Timothy 5:1-2). If we indeed speak to everyone the same way, it is foolishness. Your husband, children, relatives, colleagues, friends, etc., should be able to draw wisdom and strength from your words. Don’t be the kind of woman that everybody avoids. Be wise!
- Exercise Wisdom in doing your Duty: As a wife and mother, you must understand your duty in the home. The position of the man as the head is unquestionable. When a wife allows her husband fulfil his covenant role of headship, she automatically gives him room to play his messianic role over her. It is your duty as a wife to submit. The Word says: Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. (Ephesians 5:22). Submit to your husband in love; that is wisdom, and this will bring God’s presence into your home. It is your duty to reference your husband, make his word count in your ears and heart and let his instruction matter to you. Success in marriage doesn’t answer to prayer and fasting, but correct positioning in the covenant.
Therefore, as a woman, you also have a major responsibility of building your home. Don’t stay idle, going around from house to house, gossiping and being a busybody in other men’s matters. Instead, you should face and perform your duties properly. Exercising wisdom in doing your duty at home is one of the secrets to a peaceful, blissful, restful and fulfilling family life. Get wisdom; it will preserve your life!
However, to walk in wisdom that preserves, you need the help of God. If you are not born again, please say this prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. From today, Lord Jesus, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now, I am Born Again.
Congratulations! You are now born again and a child of God. He loves you and will never leave or forsake you. With this, you are guaranteed all-round rest and peace, in Jesus’ name!
