The Power of Hospitality- Part 1
Dear Reader,
Welcome to this month of unusual deliveries. I pray it will be a season of favour for you and your family in Jesus’ name! This month, we shall be exploring The Power of Hospitality.
According to the American Dictionary of the English Language, hospitality is the act or practice of receiving and entertaining strangers or guests without reward or with kind and generous liberality. The Word says: Use hospitality one to another without grudging (1 Peter 4:9).Therefore, as a woman and a wife, being hospitable is essential, just as walking and talking are to physical life, so being hospitable is crucial in the home, which indicates that you are a child of God.
How to Render Hospitality?
Hospitality must be done with a truly humble spirit, without grumbling, pretence or pride, because it offers you as a woman the opportunity to touch other lives and promote peace within your home and family. As a woman, you may be so concerned about the setting of your home that when you invite people over, they might tamper with your beautiful home decor. But if you examine yourself, you will discover that the biggest challenge might not really be the home setting but the state of your heart.
Ways to be Hospitable:
- Invite people over for dinner.
- Assist someone without transportation and can also invite them to come along on your trip.
- You can cook and send it to a neighbour you know cannot afford the next meal.
- You can include your neighbours in your picnic plan.
However, to be hospitable, you need the help of God. If you are not born again, please say this prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. From today, Lord Jesus, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now, I am Born Again.
Congratulations! You are now born again and a child of God. He loves you and will never leave or forsake you. With this, you are guaranteed all-round rest and peace, in Jesus’ name!
