The Woman as a Plus and not a Minus –Pt 2
Dear Reader,
Welcome to the concluding part of this teaching. I believe you now know the essence of your creation as a woman to the world, especially to your husband. Therefore, this week, we will dive deeper into The Woman as a Plus and not a minus.
The Kingdom of God operates on keys, so when you locate and operate on them, you enhance your value on earth. Therefore, to be a plus to your generation and leave footprints on the sands of life as a woman, you need to enhance your value, and there are basic keys needed.
The keys to enhancing your value as a woman are as follows:
Have a Heart for God. God does not need your money, neither does he need your possessions; all He truly wants is your heart. The Word says: My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways (Proverbs 23:26).To enhance your worth, your heart is very important, and you give your heart by allowing His Word dwell richly inside you (Colossians 3:16). That is, spending quality time with the Word and in prayer, not forgetting that what you put inside your heart will manifest in your character. Just as it is said in the computer world, ‘Garbage in, garbage out’. Hide the Word in your heart, and it will generate the fear of God, thereby adding greater virtue to yourself.
Be Purpose-driven. Until you discover your purpose for living, you will merely exist and be disadvantaged in your world. When you discover your purpose, it gives you direction and focus, and focus is power (Hebrews 12:2). So women of sound character, who shake their world, are usually women of purpose.
Be Forgiving. To be a woman of influence, you must learn to forgive. Unforgiveness makes a woman keep looking backwards instead of forward. If you are looking backwards, you can be sure your vehicle of life will be going backwards. Life is all about forgiveness. Forgiveness is about letting go of anger.; desire for revenge and letting God take over. I usually tell people that whenever they go to bed with grudges or unforgiveness, it is likely they have bad dreams. Whatever anyone has done to you is past and gone; you don’t need to carry hatred and bitterness around because you cannot make an impact in life with unforgiveness.
Be Mindful of your Association. The association you keep will always affect your behaviour, thereby determining your impact on life. Therefore, mind the kind of friends you keep. The Word says: Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend (Proverbs 27:17).
Constant self-improvement. As a woman, you must learn to constantly improve and invest in yourself. For example, if you take nothing valuable into your marriage, you will definitely find nothing valuable there. Therefore, what you invest in your life today is what you will find tomorrow. No one can improve your life for you.
Depend on the Holy Spirit. A woman who wants to enhance her value is the one who rely solely on the help of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the agent of change, so without Him, you cannot enhanced worth because developing a godly character is not by power or might. The Word says: I can of mine own self do nothing…
(John 5:30). It is not enough to be baptised in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues; you must constantly go to Him for help.
The grace to benefit from these keys is the privilege of those born-again. If you are not born again, please say this prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. From today, Lord Jesus, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now, I am Born Again.
