Living in Divine Health – Pt 2

Dear Reader,

Welcome to the concluding part of this insightful teaching. Since we began to explore this topic, I believe you have been experiencing positive changes in your health. This week, we will look deeper into, Living in Divine Health.

God has an agenda of healing and restoration for you. The Word says: For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after (Jeremiah 30:17). From the above scripture, it is established that God’s plan for the redeemed is to restore health to us. He says: And I will heal thee of thy wounds. Thus, it is the removal of sickness from the body by the power of God (Mark 16:18). Despite the devil’s incursion in the affairs of man, God provided a way of restoring your health in case the devil has tampered with it.

How to Enjoy God’s Healing Provisions:

• Healing is Children’s Bread. If you are a born-again child of God, you automatically become a member of God’s family. The price for your total health has been fully paid by the precious Blood of Jesus Christ. Therefore,healing is your birthright. So what you need to do is receive what belongs to you in faith. The Word says: Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23; see also 1 Corinthians 6:20).
• Recognise Jesus as your Healer. The Bible says: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases (Psalm 103:3). God is your great physician, and He has the power to heal you of all sicknesses and diseases no matter the type. You may have noticed this inscription in most hospitals, “We care, but God heals or cures.” This is to let you know that Jesus is the Doctor of all doctors. He knows the source of any sickness and how to address them like He did the fig tree.

Keys to Divine Health

Beware of Sin. Sin is simply a violation of God’s Word. If you want to live a healthy life, you must stay away from sin. When the laws that govern divine health are broken, they have a way of affecting one’s health. God’s Word says:   He that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him (Ecclesiastes 10:8). At creation, man was designed to live in divine health, but that nature was tampered with when man sold his birthright to the devil through disobedience (Genesis 3). Sicknesses and diseases came in after the fall of man, but Christ has brought us into that sickness-free realm, so beware to stay healthy!

Service. When you are determined to serve God, you cannot serve sickness and diseases. The Word says: No man can serve two masters… Ye cannot serve God and mammon (Matthew 6:24). God’s blessings include divine health, and it is the heritage of those who serve Him. Therefore, He ensures that no sickness is permitted to tamper with their body.  The Word says:  And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee (Exodus 23:25).

Attend to God’s Word. The Word of God has enough power to keep you healthy. The Word says: My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:20-22). Don’t just study the Word of God; you need to spend quality time meditating on it (Joshua 1:8). To stay healthy always, take a daily dose of the Word and let it not depart from your mouth.

To enjoy healthy living, you need to come to the knowledge of Christ, and this is only available to those who are born again. So if you are not born again, please say this prayer: Dear Lord, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins.  Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour.  Now, I know I am born again!
