The Blessedness of Motherhood – 2

Dear Reader,

Welcome to the concluding part of this teaching. I believe you were blessed by the previous edition. This week, we will be exploring some factors that will qualify one for the blessings of motherhood. In the contemporary world, some terms and conditions must be met to qualify for promos and special offers. In the same vein, some conditions must be met to enjoy the blessings accrue to motherhood.

These Conditions include:

• Power of Understanding: The teen years are the most demanding years for many mothers because a lot of prevalent challenges stem from a lack of understanding of this phase of life. While the children are wondering what is happening to their minds and bodies, the mothers are struggling to understand how to manage them. The Scripture says: …Give me understanding, and I shall live (Psalm 119:144).As your children grow into adulthood, understanding the various phases of life they go through is key as this helps you manage them better. The Word says: Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly (Proverbs 16:22).
• Power of Influence: Children starts learning by watching. So whatever you exhibit, they copy, and this goes to affect their character development and behaviour. When your children see you continuously praying, they unconsciously develop a prayer habit by trying to imitate you. Please understand that as mothers, you can influence your children either positively or negatively. To enjoy the blessings accrue to motherhood, you have to influence your children positively, and you do that by demonstrating good examples. So, mind the way you talk, act, dress, do things, approach people, etc.

 A mother’s role is a high calling; your major assignment is to raise generational impacts, who will in turn be channels of blessing to you. The topic of motherhood calls for a sober reflection because you have a great part to play in molding the destiny of every child committed into your hands as either the biological, foster or spiritual mother. There is nothing wrong with the gifts and presents you give your children, but also ensure they are connected to God as their maker(Jeremiah.1:5).

However, to effectively carry out the role of motherhood, you need to be endued with God’s grace. To enjoy His grace, you need to be born again. If you are, please say this prayer of faith: Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner, and I cannot help myself. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Precious Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the Living God. From today, Lord Jesus, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now, I am Born Again.
