YOUR GOALS CAN BECOME A REALITY (1)

Dear Reader,

You are welcome to another great month. There is no doubt God has been good to you and your family. This week, I will like to share with you the subject ‘Your Dreams Can Become a Reality’. 

Goal setters are goal getters. You can only catch goals that you are set for. A goalscorer in a football match must set himself up for goals if he or she will ever score any goal. In like manner, a goalkeeper must stay focused on the ball if he or she is to catch it. Therefore, everyone who is going somewhere in life must set goals. Goals are things that you intend to realize and obtain. They are things you have an objective to work towards. 

A vision is the unfolding of God’s plan for an individual’s life, while dreams are projections into the future, which one looks forward to. Goals, visions and dreams give you definite expectations for the future. Focus helps you keep at your goal until you arrive at your destination. The Word says: For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed (Isaiah 50:7). To focus on your goals, dreams and vision, you need to carry out the following steps:

• Write Down Your Goal. As soon as you have determined your goals, Satan will try to defuse your enthusiasm by undermining them. After some time, you could forget them or even begin to wonder whether the goals would be worthwhile or not. Writing down your goals helps to keep this from happening. Do not leave them to the chance of memory. Writing your goals reinforces them in your thinking and reminds you to stay committed to them.
• Set Timelines. Setting timelines entails putting a time border to realise your goals. Someday is no day! When you have a time frame to achieve any given task, it gives you that ability to achieve it.
• Develop A Mental Picture of Your Goals. Remember that Jesus always used parables to paint pictures for us to understand the Word He taught. Simply put, this means thinking about your goals. You can get this done like a photograph by approximating your goal and putting it where you can see it every day. Your future is in your pictures of today. What picture do you have about your tomorrow, career, health, family, etc.? Remember, until you see it, it cannot be given unto you.

However, to achieve your goal, vision and dream, you need God in your life. You do this by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Are you born again? Are you a child of God? If you are ready for this new birth experience, please say this prayer of faith with me: Dear Lord, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Now, I know I am born again!

Congratulations, you are now born again and a child of God. He loves you and will never leave or forsake you. With this, you are guaranteed all-round rest and peace, in Jesus’ name!
