SEEK GENUINE SALVATION FOR YOUR CHILDREN

Ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up (Deuteronomy 11:19).

God loves your children much more than you love them and He desires to have a relationship with them through His son, Jesus. As parents, it is pertinent to seek the genuine salvation of your children rather than assuming  they are already saved. The fact that you take them to Church every Sunday, conduct daily devotions at home, send them to a Christian school and make them get involved in Church activities does not equate salvation of their soul. Salvation entails your child(ren) personal experience with Christ. You have to insist that they come closer to God with personal convictions on Who He is, by making Jesus Lord and Saviour of their life. You can do this through consistent Word study with them and most importantly showing them practical examples through your lifestyle. The best introduction any parent can give to a child is to lead him/her to Christ and seek their earnest conversion. As you live out your faith on daily basis, leading your children to Christ should come as part of your to do list, practice and recite memory verses with them. This will help them see the need for a savior and teach them that God loves them and is always available for them. As you do this, you pave the way for them to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus and put their faith in Him.

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus, thank You for the salvation of my child(ren), I pray that You grant me the grace to be consistent in teaching them the truth of the Word of God and  lead them through the path of faith, as You have instructed. They will serve and worship the only true God all the days of their life, amen.
