Peace and blessings, in Jesus name! God brought you into this year because He has a plan and purpose for you, which must be fulfilled in your life. However, it will interest you to know that God wants to espouse His plans for you this year. In this vein, He has brought this piece your way; therefore, I urge you to stay put to the very last letter of this edition. Today, I will be teaching on, ‘God has a Plan for You’.
What is a Plan?
According to the dictionary meaning, a plan is a detailed proposal for doing or achieving something. More so, it is a well-structured scheme pointing towards a specific project, which is to be delivered within a timeline.
You are Created for a Purpose with an Accompanying Plan
It is important to note that God has a well detailed plan for your life; you are neither a biological accident nor a mishap in your family, school or society at large. God is your Architect and you are His project (purpose), and there is no project without a plan. Every architectural building is erected to solve a certain problem; this simply means that there is a plan in line with the purpose for every building. Therefore, God has created you to solve a certain problem; so, in order to achieve that purpose, He has a well detailed plan for you. This is evident in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you and expected end. Everything about you has been prepaid before you were born, your entire life has been predestined before time. So, God has planned that you live your life to honour Him, in character and disposition. It is clear from Scriptures that God has a detailed plan for your life; His plan is that you walk and work with Him so that you will maximise all your potentials here on earth.
Let us Examine from Scriptures Teenagers who Walked with God’s Plan for Their Lives:
- David: He was seventeen years old when he was anointed king over Israel (1 Samuel 16:13). God manifested His might and power towards him, and as a result, he became the giant of Israel. David never failed any war all through his kingship regime till his death.
- Joseph: He was a teenager when God showed him the vision of his destiny and how great he would become in the nearest future (Genesis 37:5-10). While he held on to the vision, he was bent on keeping the precepts of God irrespective of the circumstances he found himself (Genesis 39:9, 42:18). Then through perseverance and the fear of God, Joseph became the second in command in the whole of Egypt.
- Daniel: He was taken into captivity with his friends Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They were young men, and they stood their grounds not to defile themselves; as a result, they became Kingdom giants (Daniel 1:8). Because of their stand for God, Daniel was hated and thrown into the lion’s den, while his friends were thrown into a fiery furnace (Daniel 3:1-28, 6:10-20). However, none of these hurt them because they lived their lives according to God’s plan for them.
Therefore, when you become more like Christ and develop a heart for God, His will in the details of life becomes more evident to you. However, you cannot be like Christ when you have not given your life to Him. You need Jesus in your life to access God’s plan for your life. So, if you want to accept Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour, you can do that by saying this prayer of faith with me: Dear Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I believe You died and rose again for my sake. Forgive me my sins, take over my life, make me Your child and let Your peace reign over my life. Thank You for saving me. Now I know I am born again!
Congratulations, you are now born again! I believe you will begin to experience the reality of the price Jesus paid for your sins at Calvary.
