Your Choice and Your Destiny!

Dear Reader,

I count it a great privilege to bring God’s Word your way again today.  This month, we shall be looking at what I call, Your Choice and Your Destiny, as it relates to the success of your life on earth and eternity to come.

The word ‘choice’ means to select somebody or something from a number of alternatives.  That is, without any doubt, we are creatures of choice, and we make choices daily.

God’s Word says: I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live (Deuteronomy 30:19).  This Scripture proves beyond any shadow of doubt that we live in a world of choices.

Choices are powerful.  They have a lot to do with destiny, because wrong choices can bring about ruin, while right choices bring about excellence.  Right choices enhance our future and destinies, and vice versa.

God respects our choices.  He will not choose for you, but He validates your choice.  As seen in Genesis 2:19, God honoured Adam’s choice of names for all animals.  Also, until the woman with the issue of blood made a choice for a change in her situation, she wasn’t made whole (Matthew 9:20-22).  This means that God respects the choice you make.

Man’s choice either makes him or breaks him; but it never leaves him neutral.  That is why at creation, God gave both Adam and Eve a unique gift – the power of choice.  This gift was to help them succeed on the earth.  As long as they could exercise it, they could choose what to do per time, when to do it, and how to do it.

If you take advantage of God’s provision for sound choice making, your choices will be satisfying and valuable, and you will never regret any of the choices you make.

However, meaningful choice is influenced by good sourced information.  Like my husband says, “To be uninformed is to be deformed.”  That means, if you are not well-informed, the choices you make can deform your destiny, which is very crucial.

Don’t just make a choice of who to marry, for example, without getting yourself well-informed on the subject matter. You can do this, either by listening to teachings or reading proven godly materials on it.

Making wise choices is the heritage of those who are born again.  Being born again entails confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.  In case you are not yet born again and you would like to, please pray this prayer with me: “Dear Lord Jesus, I come to You today as a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. I believe You died and rose on the third day for my sins.  I accept You as my Lord and Saviour.  Make me a child of God today. Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.”

Congratulations, you are now born again! I believe that you will begin to experience the reality of the price that Jesus paid for your sins at Calvary. All-round rest and peace are guaranteed you in Jesus’ Name! Call or write, and share your testimonies with me through contact@faithoyedepo.org; OR 07026385437 and 08141320204.
