YOU ARE ENOUGH (1)

YOU ARE ENOUGH (1)

Dear Reader,

God’s words are always new every day, and there is no shadow of turning with God; He has an answer to every of life’s question you may be asking. It is my delight to bring you God’s word I have titled: ‘You Are Enough’.  Ensure you fellow through to harness all that God has for you through this piece, in Jesus name!

What Does It Mean to Be Enough?

One being ‘enough’ does not necessarily mean that you have acquired all you ever wished or wanted in life, it does not mean that you have done all the jobs, worked so hard enough, articulated and presented yourself so well more than the others. It does mean you have to earn all, buy all, seek all, pursue all or acquire all. You are enough does not mean you are a finished product, gotten all the knowledge, and there is no need to acquire more. You are enough does not mean that you are self-sufficient, or you do not need anyone on earth.

Being ENOUGH simply means being content with the present status of your life, the state of mind that you are a work-in-progress, you are constantly moving at your own pace without undue influence or pressure to be who you really are not. It means you are comfortable in your skin colour, height, appearance, job, business, and everything that has to do with you. Therefore, you do not need to have everything and certainly do not have to be everything to be enough.

Why You Are Enough

Dissatisfaction has gradually eaten into the society that no one wants to appreciate their level per time. Everyone seem to measure up progress with the neighbour next door, colleagues or friends; this has risen the level of strife and a crave for perfection which has paralysed many from moving forward and becoming different or unique from what every other person is doing. This leads to the feeling of not being good enough and confident about who you are.

It is obvious that these days many seem not to believe in themselves anymore, appreciate who they are and whom God has created them to be. They are constantly thinking there are additional ways to create unsolicited awareness, cover their low self-esteem, and get wowed by others by selling off their original personality to adulterated version of themselves.

Remember, you are who you are not because of what you acquire or what you have but because God created you in His own image. The Bible in Songs of Solomon 4:7 reiterated that, Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee. This implies that from creation, God created you to be ENOUGH. You need not seek validation or acceptance from people, and you do not have to become more loved, more accepted, or more valued. You are certainly good and have all the things you strive to have in Christ.

You Are Enough, Yet A Work-in-Progress

As human, your ability to accept your flaws and weaknesses, realise that you need people around you, need help at some point and your ability to understand that you are bound to have lots of imperfections; yet, this would not deter you from maintaining your self-worth is what it is to be ENOUGH.

Nevertheless, this does not connote that there should not be need for you to improve on yourself. When you understand that you are enough, you will find exceptional aspects of you that needs to be improved on and needs genuine growth. However, you might want to improve your knowledge about your career, business, and relationships. So, you strive to build your self-worth and relationships by being more open, honest, free, intentional, and purposeful without necessarily feeling pressured to become more. It is noteworthy to discover that when you feel unnecessarily pressured to be more or seek validation, love, acceptance, and value from people rather than yourself; then this is a sign that you think you are not enough.

However, it is only the Holy Spirit through Jesus that can help you discover yourself, and your knowledge about who you are in God is what gives you a leverage and confidence that you are more. You are divinely equipped to understand how you are wonderfully and fearfully made; there should not be any iota of doubt that you are not enough because all that is in God is in you. Therefore, if God is enough; you too are enough (Genesis 1:27).

You can only know that you are enough when you accept Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour; also, you can receive the Spirit that gives you an understanding of who you are in Christ. If you have made the decision to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and become His child, say this simple prayer of faith with me:  Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. I accept You today as my Lord and personal Saviour. Make me a child of God today and grant me the spirit of supplication all the days of my life. Thank You for delivering me from sin and satan to serve the living God and thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom. Amen!

Congratulations! If you prayed this simple prayer of faith with me, you are now born again and a child of God. He loves you and will never leave you. Read your Bible, pray daily, obey God’s Word and seek Christian fellowship (John 14:21). With this, you are guaranteed a glorious year ahead, in Jesus name!
