WISDOM PRESERVES (1)
I welcome you to the tenth month, May doors of opportunities open up for you this month in Jesus name.
Via God’s Word, I will be sharing with you, what I caption: Wisdom Preserves. I pray that the Spirit of wisdom be imparted on you in Jesus name. According to the dictionary, wisdom is defined as the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise. Bishop David Oyedepo has defined wisdom as knowing what to do from scriptures and doing it.
Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands (Proverbs 14:1). Therefore, a wise woman can be said to be one who knows what to do per time from scriptures. A lot of Christian women, today, are frustrated simply because of lack of wisdom. May every act of foolishness be rooted out of your life in Jesus name!
You must understand that no woman can successfully build her home without wisdom. The Bible clearly says that wisdom is better than the weapon of war (Ecclesiastes 9:18). Therefore, you must acquire it. Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee (Proverbs 4:5:6). If you want to preserve your home, then, wisdom is non-negotiable. How, then, can you get this in-estimable virtue?
- Fear the Lord
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom… (Proverbs 9:10). This is the foundation of wisdom. To fear God means to have reverence, to have regard for, to respect or to hold God in high esteem. It is your reverence for God that will culminate in your obedience to his instructions. The Scripture says in Joshua 24:14: Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve you the Lord. You want to be a wise woman, don’t just respect God; obey all His instructions.
- Ask for wisdom
You don’t have to run helter-skelter seeking wisdom on what to do or what next step to take, when you have God. We have an assurance from Scripture that wisdom is readily available if we ask for it. James 1:5 says If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
- Find Wisdom
Understand that wisdom only comes from God, we can therefore seek and find wisdom from God’s Word. The Bible is the wisdom of God and provides answers to every question of life. Search for wisdom as you would a hidden treasure and you are guaranteed answers (Matthew 7:7).
- Stay clear of fools
A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself (Proverbs 18:2) A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise [man] keepeth it in till afterwards (Proverbs 29:11). The above passages have given us some characteristics of foolish people. Such people are everywhere and you may not be able to avoid them, but as a wise woman you can stay clear of their destructive paths. Proverbs 14:7 says Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge.
No matter how young or old you are, you can become a wise woman and begin to operate in the wisdom of God. But, you must first be a child of God by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. If you are not yet born again and you desire to do so right now, please pray this prayer with faith in your heart: Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for delivering me from sin and satan to serve the living God and thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.
Congratulations! If you prayed this simple prayer of faith with me, you are now born again and a child of God. He loves you and will never leave you. Read your Bible daily, obey God’s Word and seek Christian fellowship (John 14:21).
