THE POWER OF VISION (1)

THE POWER OF VISION (1)

Dear Reader,

Peace and blessings, in Jesus name! It is a privilege to bring you God’s Word today; as a Father, He speaks and brings forth. Psalm 19:2 shows that, Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. Therefore, I will be teaching on a sensitive subject titled ‘The Power of Vision’. I will enjoin you to stay put on this piece to access all that God has to deliver to you.

God has a master plan for your life. You are not expected to merely exist, or to be tossed to and fro by time and chance. God has a detailed atlas for your destiny; hence, it is pertinent for you to discover the plan. Looking at great men who have gone far ahead in various spheres of life, men who have made marks in history, I came to the conclusion that they didn’t just arrive at that position by accident, just by wishing or by chance. They had something which kept motivating and driving them forward, however, this force is called ‘vision’.

It doesn’t matter what type of people they are, it doesn’t matter their colour, race or sex; what is noteworthy is that if these people do not have a vision, they wouldn’t have achieved that much.

What then, is vision?

To some, when the word ‘Vision’ comes to mind it is associated with dreams or trance. This is a shallow thought about vision. Vision literally means to see. On this note, vision means to have a mental picture of a future or a pre-knowledge of the events that will occur in the nearest future. You were created by God and He has ordained you to undertake a specific course. The Bible says, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations (Jeremiah 1:5).

Many are skeptical and doubtful about the authenticity of vision and its relations with the future. God told our father Abraham that as far as your eyes can see, I will give them to you (Genesis 13:14); this implies that until you see it, you will not have it. Furthermore, I will buttress the importance of vision so you can ascertain the benefits of discovering your vision as a teenager. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:27, It is good for a man that he bear his yoke in his youth.

Importance of Vision

The following are the importance of vision:

Vision Creates Passion.

Passion according to the dictionary is a strong and barely controllable emotion. When you have a clear picture of what your future would look like, you need nobody to encourage you, you will become your self-motivator. The drive to get to the future develops when the image is clear. For example, you see your mother preparing a wonderful dish which is your favourite and the aroma is all over the house and the neighbourhood; you will not hesitate to do the dishes so that you will not be denied of the food. So it is with vision; when the picture is clear, the drive to get to the future will be built, even at the face of challenges you can never give up because you have an Idea of what your life would look like.

Vision Creates Inspiration.

Vision inspires action, creates ideas, strategies, methods, techniques. Until the question what (vision) is answered; the how, when, which, where will not be answered. However, having a knowledge of your assignment, the idea of how it can be done will be solved. One cannot jump the 1st step to the 10th step, the first step to a glorious destiny is to identify the vision; then the questions surrounding the vision will be answered.

Vision Births Purpose.

Vision is more than just a goal, it is a strong embodiment of hopes and dreams with a glaring picture. When the vision is clear, there will be a clear sense of purpose. Purpose is the reason behind your vision, while the vision is the dream. Michael Faraday invented an electric bulb (vision), to initiate more efficient and brighter lighting system (purpose). The purpose for your living is hidden inside of your vision; therefore, until you discover your vision, you will never find purpose. Vision gives purpose direction. On the other hand, vision is the atlas for a purposeful living.

You are created to fulfil a special purpose here on earth, the purpose will be unknown until you seek to discover your vision. This cannot be done by just wishing, because if wishes were horses, beggars would have ridden on them. It is pertinent you find it now as a teenager; I found my vision and purpose as a teenager at 15, today you can see how far God has taken me. However, it is not too late for you too, you can start now by accepting Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour. He is ready to show you all, the Bible in Jeremiah 33:3 (NLT) says, Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. If you have made this decision, you can say this prayer of faith: Father, I realise that I have been a sinner. Today I believe You died and rose on the third day redeeming me from all my sins. Now I accept You as my personal Lord and Saviour, save me and accept me as Your child, write my name in the book of life. Thank You Father for saving me, in Jesus name!

Congratulations, you are now a child of God, and have been connected to the all-sufficient grace that empowers one to have a clear vision. You can call or write and share your testimonies with me via oyedepofaitha@gmail.com or 07026385437 and 08141320204.
