Peace and blessings be multiplied to you in the name of Jesus Christ! Your teenage years are precious stages ordained for you to build lasting values. This is a period of your life where you can develop yourself in various aspects of life, academics, spiritual, morals, craftsmanship etc. As the Bible says: A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men (Proverbs 18:16).
In Scriptures, you would discover that many youth were used of God to create a change in their society and family, and all of them began building their unique attributes from their teenage years. For instance:
David, from his teen kept diligently his father’s sheep. He was taken from his position of capacity building to become king over a great nation as Israel (1 Samuel 16:11-13). He saved a whole nation from shame because he had already gathered his testimony of victory from his place of training. You also must discover that special gift from God and begin to use it for the betterment of all.
Joseph, utilised his special gift of interpretation of dreams to preserve the nation where he sojourned. He was useful in averting famine through the ideas he gave that brought about economic empowerment for Egypt (Genesis 41). So, it is not about the age, but how available you are to be used by God.
Esther, was a fearless and selfless lady that saw herself as an ambassador of God to her people (Esther 4). She was used to redeem her people from destruction.
All of these people and more began their journey of usefulness from their youth. For you to have a meaningful life, your quality walk with God must be first place. To enhance your quality walk with God and spiritual responsibility, you must pay attention to these areas:
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8).
Make a decision, commitment and covenant that no day passes without you spending adequate time with your Bible. Never be ashamed of the gospel and do not get too busy for it. Study, meditate and digest it, for the Word works.
Pray and commune with God in the spirit and in your understanding. It is not necessarily how long you pray, but it is how well and the heart from where it is coming that matter. There is a rich deposit of God’s grace in you, stir it up in prayer and it will be manifested for others to see.
You should be excited about fellowship times. Whatever wants to drive you away from Church, wants to drive you away from your father’s house. Don’t let it!
However, your been useful and relevant starts with God, the Author and Finisher of your faith. Your relationship with God is the foundation that determines the level of your usefulness in life. It is written:
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing (John 15:5).
If you have not surrendered to Jesus, making Him personal Lord and Saviour of your life or you might have withdrawal from your decision to make Jesus number one in your life, you should say this prayer in faith.
Dear Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I believe You died and rose again for my sake. Forgive me of my sins, take over my life, make me Your child and let Your peace reign over my life. Thank you for saving me. Now I know I am born again!
