SECRET TO GREATNESS (2)

SECRET TO GREATNESS (2)

Dear Reader,

Peace and blessings in the precious name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I welcome you to the second edition in this teaching series and I’m sure you were blessed by the teaching for last week? By now, I hope your utmost desire is to know God more because only ...the people that do know their God shall be strong (GREAT) and do exploits (Daniel 11:32).

In the first edition, I establish the foundation that knowing God by having intimacy with Him as your Creator, as your Father and as your Lord is the secret to greatness. In this edition, I will be teaching on how to develop an intimate relationship with God to experience greatness. It is very important for you, therefore, to understand that God desires an intimate relationship with you. He wants you to have an intimate relationship with Him, but you have to open up to Him. Hence, to develop an intimate relationship with God, you have to consciously, intentionally, willingly, and excitedly make yourself available through the following:

Deep Word study: The first key to intimacy with the Father is through consistent Word study. Your teenage years are the best period to get acquainted with God. It is necessary that as young ones you take out time in Word study and meditation, unhindered by friends, movies, social media and the likes. It important you search the scripture so as to learn what you are expected to do to be great in life. Paul said in 2 Timothy 2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Therefore, a life of studying and meditation on His Word grants you access to wisdom, and divine insight.

Prayer life: To grow in intimacy with God and to draw closer to Him, you have to be communicating with God in prayer on a daily basis. As you do this, He (The Holy Spirit) will grant you wisdom and access to deep insight. The Bible says: I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions (Proverbs 8:12). And we ask for wisdom from God on the altar of prayer. James 1:5 says:  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Consistent fellowship with the Father: This is when you come before the Father in worship, a place of total surrender, telling Him how much you love Him, and How much you are willing to do His will, singing songs of worship from your heart to Him. The Bible says: Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:19). Remember: God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

No other relationship in life compares in value, equal or can replace your intimacy with God. In actual fact, we can safely say that your relationship with God is the only sure foundation for greatness in life. It is utterly important for you to straighten up your intimacy with God. However, the way you relate with God without any doubt will affect how you treat men. How do you relate with God? Do you reverence Him or are you one of those that take Him for granted? Do you see your relationship with Him as one of those things just to fulfil all righteousness? You must relate with Him with a deeper knowledge of who He is. It’s time, therefore, to seek God and search for Him whole-heartedly! Seek Him and search for Him with all your heart, because that is the foundation.  Remember, He says in His Word: …those that seek me early shall find me (Proverbs 8:17). Also, 2 Timothy 2:19 says: Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let everyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

Until you are born again, you cannot seek God and search for Him whole-heartedly. You become born again by confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour. If you have not asked Jesus to come into your life or have neglected your initial love for Him, then you should say this prayer in faith: Dear Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I believe You died and rose again for my sake. Forgive me of my sins; take over my life. Make me Your child and let Your peace reign over my life. Thank you for saving me.  Now, I know I am born again!

Congratulations, you are now born again! I believe that you will begin to experience the reality of the price that Jesus paid for your sins at Calvary. All-round rest and peace are guaranteed you, in Jesus’ Name!  Call or write, and share your testimonies with me through contact@faithoyedepo.org OR call 07026385437 and 08141320204.
