Happy new month to you! This is a remarkable month for all Christians, because it represents the death and resurrection of our saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ. Therefore, in this season, I decree that every grave you or any member of your family might be in, you are coming out with speed in the name of Jesus!
In this glorious month, we shall be examining the topic: “Overcoming Complex.” Complexes are usually common with teenagers. In fact, a person develops either superiority or inferiority complex from the teen’s age. This is because that is a defining moment of one’s life. This is where characters and habits are formed. Job said: As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle;(Job 29:4)
However, as I have said, complex issues can come in two ways. It is either a person has superiority complex or feels inferior to others. The first means that you have the mentality that you are more important and special than others, such everyone should obey your biddings. While it is not wrong to feel special, you must not let it result in pride, or take it above others.
Remember the Bible says: Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves (Philippians 2:3). You ought to be meek and humble at all times. Apart from the fact that it’s a true virtue for Christians, there are blessing attached to it. You get to learn a lot when you possess these characters.
Also, inferiority complex on the other hand represents those who have low self-esteem and this is the more common of the two. This means that these persons feel low about themselves and have the notion that every other person is better, smarter and healthier than they are.
This can be as a result of not appreciating one’s self, background or body parts. For instance, a person who is dark in complexion would wish to be fair, because he or she thinks they would be more appreciated that way. Similar, those from average or low income families, would feel inferior when they meet their mates that are from wealthy homes.
To have complex issues, whether inferior or superior is a proof of lack of character. One thing people might not understand when it comes to those with superiority complex is that, deep within them they feel threatened and afraid of rejections. So, they use other material and physical substances to cover up their fears.
Also, those who have inferiority complex have the wrong notion that acceptance and how others respond to you, is tied to what you have. To get past both stages, you need to recognize and accept that whatever anyone has is given by God (James 1:17), you are created to be a blessing and you are unique in your makeup (Psalm 139:14). God has great plans for you (Jeremiah 29:11), and they would only manifest if you could see them and work towards them (Genesis 13:14-15).
Remember that having complex clouds your mind from the good around you, and the beauty of having relationships that would be a blessing to you. So, you must do all it takes to build a proper esteem and live a life worthy of emulation.
However, to be free from every trap of the devil, which surprising also includes complex, you have to be born again. That means accepting Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour. To accept Him right now, please say this prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. I cannot help myself. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the living God. I believe You died for me and on the third day, You rose that I might be justified. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.
