MAXIMIZING YOUR TEEN-AGE

MAXIMIZING YOUR TEEN-AGE

Dear Reader,

It is my delight and utmost desire that you enjoy the best God has purposed for you. I enjoin you to pay attention to God’s Word today and your life will never remain the same in Jesus name. In this edition, we shall be exploring the topic, The Beauty of Teenage Hood.

Everything on earth is designed to function according to times and seasons. As the Bible saysto everything there is a season. (Ecclesiastes 3:1). This clearly means that life is in phases, and as long as the earth remains, different seasons of life shall continually be in force.

Now, that you are a teenager, remember that you cannot be one forever; it can only be for the present! So, you must be mindful of what you do with your present stage as a teenager, because your actions today will ultimately determine what you will become or experience in your future.

To be a teenager is to be whole, outstanding, unique, separate and positively different! God is interested in your wholeness. To be whole, you must discover who you are in the content of God’s Word and act on your discoveries from the Word.

Teenage years are fun filled years and you must learn to make the most of it. Rather than wishing, desiring and devising means to get out of your teen age, you can productively engage this season to deliver all that it holds for you before it is over. These are many benefits that you can derive from this age.

It is a Great Opportunity to Draw Near to God

The benefit of your teens years is categorized into three dimensions of your life – spirit, soul and body. It takes an effective harnessing of these three dimensions to enjoy maximally the benefits of the teenage years.

Your teenage years are the most effective time to be actively engaged in the pursuit of God and the interest of His kingdom. The Bible tells us in Mathew 6:33 paraphrased that when we seek God’s Kingdom first, He adds every other thing we need to us.

If you sow the seed of pursuing after God and the interest of his kingdom as a priority for living as a teenager be rest assured that you have secured your destiny for life: but when you take the adverse decision to follow after the affairs of the world God steps out of your life and you become sole lonely fighting life all alone, but this not your portion in Jesus name.

You must also understand that your relationship with God will reflect in your relationship with man. Do not just be a Christian who goes to church only on Sundays. Be not deceived, what you sow determines what you reap (Galatians 6:7).

It Is the Prime Time of Life

Another fundamental benefit of the teenager years is that; it is the prime time of life. I strongly believe that this is the reason the Bible says in (1Timothy 4:12) says Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Unusual strength is one of the characteristics of this prime time of life. Your strength seems to be at the peak. You become very adventurous, enterprising, full of enthusiasm. This is the best time for self-discovery and self-awareness and sensitization. You have more opportunities to choose the direction of your life ranging from career, relationships and other important areas of your life.

Mobility

Mobility is another benefit of your teenage years. Mobility here connotes not only of your physical body, but also the mobility of time, money and decision. You have more time to yourself with little or no interference, this is not a time to waste on frivolous things but to engage on productive things that will enhance your life.  Financially, most of you have started earning some money to pay your bills or the allowances given to you by your parents, this is a time for you to cultivate the habit of saving and expending wisely for your future.

However, it is pertinent to understand that the waves of teens life can be over-powering and the only way for you to enjoy the beauty and benefits of your teens is to be in a good relationship with God. If you do not have a relationship with God, or have strayed from your decision to make Jesus the only Lord over your life, then you must say this prayer in faith:

Dear Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I believe You died and rose again for my sake. Forgive me of my sins, take over my life, make me Your child and let Your peace reign over my life. Thank you for saving me.  Now I know I am born again!

Congratulations, you are now born again! I believe that you will begin to experience the reality of the price that Jesus paid for your sins at Calvary.
