A NEW BEGINNING (1)
Happy New Month! It with joy and gladness I welcome you into the Second half of the Year. I pray that it shall be a most fruitful one for you in all reunification the Bible says, ‘better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof’ and that shall be your portion Amen.
In this opening month of the third quarter of this year, I decree over your life a new beginning, old things are passed away, behold all things become new! Don’t hold on to your past, focus on your present because God is set to do a new thing this month.
Teenage years are a very precious gift; which others wish they could recall. However, God has given you this privilege to be aware of the blessings of this season of your life so you could utilise it. God has placed certain gifts in you that can be enhanced during these years, for a greater exploit that you would benefit from and will make you fulfilled.
A large number of teenagers are not fulfilled because they have not yet decided to let go of their past and believe God for a new beginning. Refuse to remember your past experience in life. It could be addiction to drugs, sexual immoralities, wrong association that has led to divers repercussions such as unwanted pregnancy for the ladies, poor academic performance or even to the extent of becoming a drop out of school.
Yours could be the way you disregarded your parents and elderly ones or the way you took God’s Word with levity and nonchalant attitude, perhaps you could be wondering if you could turn back the hand of time. No! But as long as you have refused to go back to those things you do, there is room for a new beginning, a new season and turnaround experience. Isaiah 43:18-19 says, Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
You can only experience a new beginning in your life by a total surrender of all those bad habits and get hooked to the Holy Spirit – the changer. That change you desire can only be possible by the Holy Spirit because bad habits are spirits in nature and they require a higher Spirit to overcome them. Apostle Paul said, and I paraphrase, the things I hate to do, that is what I find myself doing (Romans 7:15). This is the reason you need the Holy Spirit Remember Zechariah 4:6 says, Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
Having a godly character is by the help of the Spirit of God, not by mere decision. You need to consciously and constantly go to Him for help He is ever willing and available to strengthen, energise and empower you.
However, for you to enjoy the reality of a new beginning, you should start with having a relationship with the person of the Holy Spirit by accepting Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and Saviour. If you are yet to do so you can say this prayer in faith with me: ‘Dear Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I believe You died and rose again for my sake. Forgive me of my sins, take over my life, make me Your child and let Your peace reign over my life. Thank you for saving me. Now I know I am born again’!
Congratulations, you are now born again! I believe that you will begin to experience the reality of a new beginning from today. All-round peace and fulfillment are guaranteed you, in Jesus’ Name!
